Dell AIO 942 Windows 7/8/8.1 Printer Drivers

Normally windows 7/8/8.1 automatically installed the printer drivers,  we just need to install the Vista driver in compatibility mode (read tutorial). Here is the driver list:

Windows XP : Download 
* for windows XP, do not plug in your printer until prompted to do so.

Windows Vista 32-bit : Download
Windows Vista 64-bit : Download 

Windows 7/8/8.1 : Install Windows Vista drivers in compatibility mode OR
If resulting in error read instruction below.

There are 2 ways to install Dell AIO 942 Printer Driver in  Windows 7,8 and 8.1 , choose your preferable method. (Plug in and power on your printer before proceed)

First Method: (Automatic Installation)
1. Download Dell Clean Up Utility first: Download R166311.zip
2. Extract the R16311 file and run DellCleanUpUtility.
3. After that run Microsoft Automatic Updates and it will install the latest drivers available for Windows 7,8 and 8.1 - depend on your operating system.

Second Method : (Manual Installation)
1. Download Dell Clean Up Utility first: Download R166311.zip
2. Extract the R16311 file and run DellCleanUpUtility.
3. After that we need to download the driver manually form Microsoft Update Catalog. Please open this download page using Internet Explorer: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=aio%20942 
4. Click add and the View basket , and then click download :

5. After download finished, extract the CAB file using Winrar or 7zip software.
6. You will get 2 folder which each start with x86 and AMDx64.

x866 = 32-bit drivers
AMDx64 = 64-bit drivers

7. The open device manager (click start and type DEVMGMT.MSC) , right click on your printer and select update driver, select browse and point to the driver folder we extracted earlier.
